Resin Art

One of a Kind

Every resin wood panel starts with an original canvas print, created using lightfast inks and archival-quality materials to keep the colours rich and vibrant for decades. Each print is meticulously produced in-house, with extensive colour correction to achieve the perfect balance. This is not a simple “click and print” process. Getting an image from screen to print can take days or even weeks. Colour harmony is my obsession, and the first print is rarely the final one. I print, adjust individual colours, refine tone and saturation, and reprint until it’s exactly right.

Once perfected, the print is varnished and adhered to an artist wood cradle in preparation for resin. Pouring resin is a labour-intensive, unpredictable process. It requires precision; dust, bubbles, or an uneven pour can ruin a print. I take great care to ensure a flawless finish, but I never truly know if I’ve succeeded until I check the piece after 24 hours of curing. More times than I can count, I’ve inspected a canvas for imperfections, covered it to dry, then returned the next day to find a single dust flake in the centre, sending me back to the pouring table once again.

The Process

Step 1

Print and varnish archival quality giclée.

Step 2

Prepare artist wood cradle and adhere prints.

Step 3

Mix resin, pour, fire the bubbles.

Step 4

Battle dust and more bubbles. Cover and rest for 24 hours. And then finally, the big reveal!

The Resin Collection

So why go through all this effort instead of simply making a canvas print? Because resin transforms the artwork, adding depth and intensity that traditional prints can’t replicate. The glossy, modern finish enhances its graphic quality and the process itself introduces an element of unpredictability, ensuring no two pieces are ever the same. These artworks aren’t mass-produced; they are shaped by patience, precision, and a hands-on approach. Each one evolves with its surroundings, shifting with light and space, making it a truly original piece to live with and experience over time.
